The Youngstown Independent Film Festival, presented by No Label Productions, will take place at Cinemark Tinseltown of Boardman on October 12th, 2019 from 2:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
Awards will be announced at the festival after party which will take place at Krakatoa Tropical Food and Spirits. The after party will start at 10 pm.
Tickets to the festival are now on sale and can be purchased on the FilmFreeway website listed below.
The last day to submit is September 12, 2019.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
John Martin Jr. is the CEO and President of NO LABEL PRODUCTIONS, a film production company located in Los Angeles. John is known for his gift of completing projects of high quality by motivating others through successful team building and leadership.
As Director, Executive Producer and Writer, John has most recently celebrated the completion of his short film, COPS OR ROBBERS. As of 2019, John has been the recipient for the following awards for this film: Best Comedy of the Film Arts and Hearts Film Festival, Official Selection of the Miami Indie Fest, and Hollywood New Directors Honorable Mention. Other past film projects that John has worked on include The Way Back Home, Unconscious and Altered.
John holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida and an Associate of Science Degree in Film Production Technology from Valencia College.
Festival Coordinator
Rebecca Martin has been working for No Label Productions as an Executive Assistant since 2016.
Rebecca's work with the company began by performing on and off set work for the short film, COPS OR ROBBERS which was awarded Best Comedy at the Film Arts and Hearts Film Festival, Official Selection for the Miami Indie Fest, and Hollywood New Directors Honorable Mention. Roles for this project included Casting Director and Location Manager.
Rebecca is currently functioning as Festival Coordinator for the Youngstown Independent Film Festival which will take place on October 12, 2019 in Youngstown, Ohio.

OUR JUDGES
Bill Daly was born to an Irish immigrant family near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He graduated magna cum laude from the Temple University School of Communications and Theater in 1977 and started his career at the American Broadcasting Company in Hollywood the same year. Credits from this period include: Welcome Back Kotter, John Denver and the Muppets- A Christmas Together, General Hospital, the 1979, 1980, 1981 and 1983 Academy Awards presentations, the 1981 Major League Baseball World Series, the 1984 Summer Olympics, and a number of musical, variety and comedy specials.
Bill was the Unit Manager on several ABC News programs including: 20/20, Good Morning America, the 1980 Presidential Primaries & General Election, and ABC World News Tonight. He also worked on Shelley Duvall’s Faerie Tale Theater for Showtime and Not Necessarily The News for HBO.
In 1986, Bill joined Lorimar-Telepictures, where he worked on a number of television series including: Spies, She’s the Sheriff, The Hogan Family, The Guns of Paradise, Aaron’s Way and Gabriel’s Fire. He also contributed to several feature films at Lorimar including: Dead Bang, The Morning After, Next of Kin, and Dangerous Liaisons. After Lorimar-Telepictures’ acquisition by Warner Communications, Bill relocated to their Burbank Studios and joined Warner Bros. Pictures Theatrical Production Management where he became Director of Budgeting.
Bill moved to Post Production as its Director in 1997; became its Vice President in 2003 and Senior Vice President in 2006. During his tenure at Warner Bros. Pictures, he has overseen hundreds of theatrical motion pictures including all of the Harry Potter films, Space Jam, Lethal Weapon 3 and 4, The Matrix trilogy, Batman and Robin, Batman Begins, Troy, The Corpse Bride, Steven Spielberg’s Al, Ocean’s 11, The Perfect Storm, Superman Returns, The Departed, Happy Feet, 300, The Dark Knight and Slumdog Millionaire.
Bill departed Warner Bros. Pictures in December 2011 and became an independent producer. Current projects include: Duffy’s Cut, A Brewer’s Tale, Walking With Jack, RhumbleRama, and Deeper Than 6ft.
Bill was inducted into the Temple University School of Communications and Theater Hall of Fame in 2007 and the Radnor High School Hall of Fame in 2008. He was named to the Silicon Valley 50 by the Irish Technology Leadership Group in April 2011, the Irish America Business 100 in December 2011 and the Hollywood 50 in September 2012. Bill has served on the Board of the Temple University Klein School of Media and Communication since 1999.
His wife, Patricia Yamate, was an executive with the Walt Disney Company/ ABC Television.

Cindy Castro DiRusso
Cindy Castro-DiRusso is a film Producer, Talent Manager and Casting Director/Producer currently living and working in Youngstown, Ohio. Prior to relocating to Ohio, Cindy worked on popular series’ such as “The Jimmy Kimmel Show” and “The Voice” as a production assistant. Further along in her Casting and Talent Management career, some of her most prolific work was for Gordon Ramsay’s “Kitchen Nightmares” and other reality TV shows on across cable networks. Through her industry work in Youngstown, Cindy has cultivated strong relationships with local film makers, local and state government officials, as well as other local industry professionals. Some notable local films that she has been involved in included “Apathetic Epidemic”, “The Con”, and “Worst Christmas Ever.”
Hillary Demmon
Hillary Demmon is a Pittsburgh-based documentarian and President of Limbic Productions, Inc. She directed and edited Making Montgomery Clift (2018) and Road Comics: Big Work on Small Stages (2012). She is a Senior Lecturer of Film and Media Studies at the University of Pittsburgh, and previously taught digital storytelling and media production at Georgetown University and Southern Oregon University.
